Anders Pettersson has worked as a consultant since 2012, completing over 130 assignments in more than 30 countries.
In his assignments, he applies a facilitative and process-oriented approach, with a clear focus on sustainability and rights. Each solution is designed with the organisation’s unique circumstances and objectives in mind.
Anders is an experienced organisational and management consultant with a broad thematic and organisational background spanning the public sector, civil society, and private sector. His main focus is on organisational analysis, evaluations, feasibility studies, strategic process facilitation, and operational development. He is a highly appreciated trainer and coach.
Anders’ assignments often centre on international development cooperation, lifelong learning, educational management, civil society development and more recently, the integration of AI for organisational growth and digital transformation.

Anders has conducted numerous project, programme, organisational and strategic evaluations and reviews for governmental institutions, private sector, and civil society organisations both in Sweden and internationally. His work typically involves assessing the current situation and reflecting on past efforts, while guiding organisations in shaping a clear path for future work and development.

Educational Background
Anders’ first degree was in International Relations and Development Cooperation from the University of Gothenburg. He has since also earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Linnaeus University/School of Business, Economics and Law in Gothenburg and an MBA in Leadership from University West. He is currently finalising a master’s degree in Education with a focus on Learning, Digitalisation, and Sustainability at Jönköping University.
In addition to his degrees, Anders has completed university courses in CSR, leadership, and knowledge management. He holds Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English and is additionally certified in development tools such as Theory of Change, Impact Assessment, Results-Based Management (RBM), and Outcome Mapping.
Additional Roles
In addition to his consulting work, Anders has held leadership roles in both the public sector and civil society. He has served as Director for two civil society organisations and has nine years of experience in operational and strategic development within municipalities and regional authorities. He has been a business owner since 2010.
Anders is also deeply engaged in civil society work, having held several voluntary positions at various levels within sports and development organisations. He has been a board member of Forum Syd (now ForumCiv) and been the Chairman of “The Youth Fund”, a fund run in cooperation with the Swedish National Council of Youth Organisations (LSU). He also spent eight years on the national board of Gambiagrupperna. His interests in curling and chess have led to various board and leadership roles, including serving as General Manager and National Coach for Sweden’s national chess teams for five years. Currently, he is the chairman of the Western Sweden Curling District and a board member of Göteborg Curlinghall LLC.
