Susanna Huber has a broad profile in analysis and evaluation, with particular strength in methodology design and in combining quantitative and qualitative perspectives. She likes to work on assignments where complex issues need to be structured, different types of material weighed together and results turned into clear conclusions and useful decision support.
Susanna’s experience covers work in municipalities, regions and other public organisations, with a particular focus on governance, follow-up and organisation, and on sustainable community development in the climate and environmental field.
At Rights Hand, Susanna Huber works as an analyst and evaluator. She has ten years of experience of analysis, investigation, evaluation and audit assignments in the public sector and contributes in particular broad methodological expertise in both qualitative and quantitative analysis. The combination of long professional experience and a solid academic education means that she is used to designing methodology and to selecting and combining methods based on the purpose, questions and conditions of each assignment.
Analysis and evaluation in the public sector
Susanna has a broad understanding of public sector governance, organisation and operational logic. As an audit consultant at PwC and EY, she carried out performance audits of municipalities, regions and joint municipal authorities across Sweden. The work included assessments of, among other things, appropriateness, efficiency, internal control, goal attainment, and governance and follow-up.
As an analyst at Skellefteå Municipality, Susanna worked closely with management teams, strategists and project and programme managers. Among other things, she carried out feasibility studies, process evaluations, follow-ups of programmes and projects, and various types of investigations and analyses across a wide range of municipal areas of activity. Her experience also includes forecasts, situation and environmental analyses, and operational and organisational analyses.
Susanna has extensive experience of processing, analysing and visualising large and varied datasets and of turning complex material into well-founded conclusions, recommendations and decision support.
Sustainable community development
Susanna has particular expertise in sustainable community development. As an audit consultant, she specialised in community planning and development and carried out a large number of audits related to environmental, climate and sustainability issues and physical planning. She was also a driving force in developing audit programmes in emerging areas such as climate adaptation and long-term sustainable drinking water supply. A recurring element in her work is an interest in identifying opportunities for improvement, developing new ways of working and contributing to more sustainable public services.
For a ten-year period, Susanna lived in Skellefteå and followed the establishment of Northvolt and the subsequent transformation of the community at close range, both as a resident and in her role as an analyst. This has given her a deep understanding of how large industrial establishments affect skills supply, demographics, the labour market and regional development.
Academic education
Susanna holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in economics. Her education has an international perspective through complementary courses in global development studies, geopolitics and CSR. In her master’s thesis, she specialised in environmental economics and carried out a quantitative study of how emission regulations affect companies’ investment decisions.
Susanna recently complemented her profile with a master’s degree in organisation and leadership. In this thesis, she carried out a qualitative study focusing on gender equality in organisations.
Voluntary engagement
Susanna has a long-standing voluntary engagement in local development, the environment and sustainability. Among other things, she has served as chair and board member of local development forums and has been involved in several organisations focusing on sustainable development. A particularly valuable experience was a study trip to Albania focusing on sustainable tourism and waste management.
